MINGEI ( Folk Crafts ) E-catalog

This is an information booklet detailing Mingei (folk craft) owned by The Japan Folk Crafts Museum and which were the subject of the 8K installation of the main content, Field of Divine Nature. Read about the 18 pieces of Mingei from various eras of Japanese history ranging from the Jomon, Heian, Kamakura, Edo, Meij and Showa periods. Learn about the many Mingei items such as Dogu (clay dolls), grain storage jars, vases, teapots, textile products, Buddha statues, headdresses and caskets created by unnamed lay people. The booklet is an informative reference for viewing Field of Divine Nature.
